| Mouse Grafix & Computer Consultants has developed two instructional seminars for those who are new to computers. Basic Computers is a lecture based seminar, complete with educational handouts. This seminar provides information on what a computer is, how it does what it does, and an explanation of the components that make up a computer system. Participants will learn what a hard drive is and the difference between Random Access Memory (RAM) and a storage device's space. From turning the computer on, to how to practice using a mouse, we tailor the seminar to those individuals who need to know the basics. Basic Internet is a lecture based seminar, complete with educational handouts. This seminar provides information on what is needed to gain access to the Internet, how to get "online", protecting yourself and your family while online, and the benefits of having a web site. The use of search engines and queries is also discussed. |
